By purchasing our goods and/or using our services, you accept these General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”). Please read this GTC carefully.

This GTC shall be applied to the contractual relationships entered into on the website and/or in the webshop of Maison Bent available at www.maisonbent.com,

and to the visit and use of the website and/or the webshop. You expressly agree that you use our website at your sole risk.

2. GOODS AND SERVICES

In Maison Bent’s online store at www.maisonbent.com, you can purchase unique clothing, accessories and digital assets that are directly sold by Maison Bent.

Maison Bent is entitled to widen the scope the scope of its goods and/ or services or to suspend or fully terminate them. Maison Bent is entitled to suspend or to refuse to sell goods or to provide services if you intend to purchase or use such goods or services in contradiction with the provisions of this GTC, or Maison Bent is investigating and supposed misuse.

“Notify me!” option: if you have added your email address to the waitlist of a certain product, it doesn’t mean an obligation for Maison Bent or a preorder of the product., it serves as a sole notification about the product’s availability. Once the desired item is available on our site, we’ll notify you via email within 24 hours. Please note that in some cases garments with high demand might become sold out again during this timeframe.

3. GENERAL PROVISIONS

The following Terms and Conditions and valid between you and Maison Bent Limited and apply to all use of out website www.maisonbent.com.

This GTC is in effect from 2 August 2021 and shall be effective until withdrawal. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, modify or replace any part of this GTC by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Please read the GTC and check back often. if you do not agree to any change to the GTC then you must immediately stop using our website and / or webshop. If you continue to use our website and/ or webshop, you are deemed to accept the modified GTC. Any changes made after you have placed an order will not affect such order unless we are required to make such change by law.

You should keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions for future reference. If certain parts of our Terms and Conditions are unclear, or if you have any questions, please contact info@maisonbent.com before you place an order on our website.

4. PURCHASE INFORMATION

The default currency in the webshop is dependent on the selected shopping destination.

Purchase prices include value added tax (VAT) in accordance to the British tax rules, but do not include shipping fees. Shipping fees are displayed seperately based on your shipping destination.

All purchases are made in the default currency of your shopping region. In case your bank account is in a different currency, then your bank might include some additional exchange. We are not responsible for possible exchange fees in these cases. If you are unsure about the procedures your bank is following in case of such transaction, we suggest contacting your bank for further information.

Charges on your bank statement will appear as “Maison Bent Limited”.

If clearly incorrect retail prices are indicated on our webshop, e.g. an incorrect low retail price is indicated caused by an eventual system malfunction, Maison Bent shall not accept the order and shall not deliver the product at such an incorrect retail price. In such case, we shall offer to deliver the product at correct retail price to you, and you are entitled to withdraw your order regarding such product.

If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to Maison Bent, we shall not be liable to any delay or non-delivery.

5. ORDERING/CONCLUSION OF CONTRACT

The ordering options available to you are via www.maisonbent.com or via e-mail at sales@maisonbent.com

Once you have placed your order, if you have supplied us with your email address, you will receive an email confirmation.

If for any reason we are unable to fulfill your order, we will let you know at the earliest opportunity. If we have already received payment for such order, we will attempt to refund the applicable amount using the same method used to make the payment. If, for any reason, alternative arrangements are necessary, a Maison Bent representative will contact you to settle the refund.

6. DELIVERY

Please note that we only ship to home or office addresses and not to P.O. box addresses.

Maison Bent endeavours to dispatch orders in the fastest possible time and in the order in which they are placed. Though we aim to deliver within the communicated time frame, delivery may take longer due to unexpected events.

7. Renter Specific Terms

7.1 This section 5 applies to you if you are a renter.

7.2 When you agree to hire an item with from Maison Bent, Maison Bent grants you a limited right to use that item for the relevant hire period. This right is personal to you and you are not allowed to give this right to any other person.

7.3 You are responsible for ensuring that:

(a) you are legally allowed to use any item that you borrow through the Maison Bent website;

(b) you comply with all applicable law when using the item;

(c) you comply with any reasonable directions provided by Maison Bent in order to use the item safely;

(d) you return the item in the same condition as it was in when you collected or received it from Maison Bent.

7.4 You are free to agree with Maison Bent how you will return any items you have hired to Maison Bent; however, you must ensure that you return any items you have hired to Maison Bent before your hire period ends unless otherwise permitted by Maison Bent.

7.5 You will be responsible for any loss of or damage to the item you have hired.

7.6 If you fail to return an item by the agreed deadline you must contact Maison Bent to notify us as soon as you are aware you are going to miss the deadline. You will also need to book and pay for the extended time immediately. Maison Bent may not be able to accommodate the extension in which case it is your responsibility to get the item(s) back to Maison Bent within a timeframe that suits Maison Bent. If you do not do so, you will be liable to pay late fees, which will be 20% of retail value per day ("Late Fees"). You agree that Maison Bent can charge this amount from your card or bank account without further permission.

7.7 If you miss the agreed deadline for return, and are uncommunicative with Maison Bent, you agree that we can take a holding deposit from your account up to the full value of the items you have ("Holding Deposit"). This deposit will be fully refundable, less any fees owed to the company or lender, once the items are returned within 30 days. If the items are not returned, it will not be refunded. 

8. Colours

We make all reasonable efforts to accurately display the attributes of our products, including composition and colours. The colour you see will depend on your computer system, and we cannot guarantee that your computer will accurately display such colours.
